Hi folks, good to have you on skylyro.com again! If you haven’t visited the site for a while, you might have noticed that it has undergone some changes, a facelift, a new Top 10 Posts structure, as well as some new features should now improve it graphically and from a user perspective point of view.
More than a year has past since my first Jogging Albums Post, but I still listen to a lot of music when I go running in the park… And so, apart from the albums you might already have seen in my previous Top 10 Jogging Albums list, my player now includes several other albums. Here’s a sample of some of what currently is my favorite Jogging Music:
1. Faith No More – King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime: this is for sure the most rocking album of the list and for sure it will provide you with the right energy and adrenalin in order to face any kind of track, or sporting activity in general! By the way, my favorite Faith No More album.
2. Massive Attack – Collected: needless to say that Massive Attack are simply great and that they revolutionized the music scene back in the 90s and later on, as well. This collection is great when you’re going for a jog on a regular, not too fast tempo.
3. dEUS– Bad Timing: one of the less known and appreciated dEUS albums, but a good one though! It is full of energy and great for a medium tempo run.
4. Bruce Springsteen – Born to Run: surely the oldest of the albums in the list, but a new entry for me, since I wasn’t that much of a Springsteen fan before I had the chance to see and appreciate him live in Florence earlier this summer. Obviously, Born to Run is an all-time classic and features some of the Boss’ greatest hits: plenty of power and energy for you to run to!!
5. Gomez – Bring It On: one of the bands I always heard of, but never really listened to; recently I found this album on an old mp3-player and was surprised by the sound and music, which also perfectly suits for easy running in the park.
6. Dinosaur Jr. – Without A Sound: fantastic for running around town; a bit noisy, but not too much, makes you forget about traffic external noises and people around you…
7. Peter Fox – Stadtaffe: between dub and ragga, the German-singing frontman of well-known Berlin band Seeed has mixed beats and a powerful sound with entertaining texts. Very involving!
8. Dave Matthews Band – Crash: a masterpiece to me; during the last part of my track, it always takes the remaining energy out of me that allows me to increase speed and stamina towards the end…
9. The Verve – Urban Hymns: perfect for a regular tempo run, this million-selling album still sounds very fresh and is a pleasant company when trampling the asphalt.
10. David Gray – Draw the Line: I didn’t know much about this artist when I bought the album in Dublin about a year ago, but despite the slightly melancholic atmospheres of his songs, I find the album pretty engaging. I use to listen to it when I run at medium tempo.

Hi there, and welcome back to another one of skylyro’s Top 10 posts!

Hey there! This week I’d like to share with you my favorite albums when it comes to jogging. In order to keep in shape, many of us go jogging in their spare time, or on the weekend, and most of us have at least tried once in their lifetime. Well, let’s be frank, the first thought most of us have is that running, pure running, not chasing a ball or something, simple running, is in fact a bit boring! That is why we all tend to carry our mp3 player, iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, or whatever modern technology has to offer, on our conquest of the local park.
