skylyro’s Top 10 Jogging Albums

InRainbows album cover

radiohead - in rainbowsHey there! This week I’d like to share with you my favorite albums when it comes to jogging.  In order to keep in shape, many of us go jogging in their spare time, or on the weekend, and most of us have at least tried once in their lifetime. Well, let’s be frank, the first thought most of us have is that running, pure running, not chasing a ball or something, simple running, is in fact a bit boring! That is why we all tend to carry our mp3 player, iPod, iPhone, Blackberry, or whatever modern technology has to offer, on our conquest of the local park.

With that in mind, everyone has his/her favorite bands, albums, home-made compilations they prefer listening to while jogging. I will try to put down my favorite jogging albums and I can’t wait to read your lists and suggestions on your favorite music when you have your sneakers on!

C’mon, give me some new inspiration…

1. Radiohead – InRainbows

2. Fiction Plane – Sparks

3. The Kooks – Inside In / Inside Out

4. John Coltrane – Giant Steps

5. The Clash – London Calling

6. Manu Chao – La Radiolina

7. dEUS – Vantage Point

8. Subsonica – Microchip Emozionale

9. Blur – Parklife

10. Pearl Jam – Self Titled Album

  1. I never go jogging but I say “YES!!!!” to Microchip Emozionale, London Calling and Parklife… and I would add Franz Ferdinand’s first LP… I don’t know why but that’s the first album that came to my mind…

    1. Franz Ferdinand you say… I must admit I don’t know them too well, but I will keep your suggestion in mind and try it out next time I go to the park! 😉

  2. Hmmmm…. I like your No. 1 but Radiohead is more like “staggering aimlessly looking for a place to go” music : ) One of my favorite jogging albums is Cake’s Fashion Nugget. It’s cool because it also doubles as great dinner party music too. Jog on.

  3. Love your list! It’s eclectic and mature, just what I was looking for. Thanks 🙂 Lueez, Cake is a great addition to this list!
