  1. So happy Mike Patton was not forgotten. A good list but I would have added Lane Staley and Jerry Cantrell to round out the Seattle scene. Ditto for David Bowie.

  2. Hi everybody, glad to have your comments!
Alright, in order to reply to each of you: Marion, I will definitely write a list of my favorite female singers/artists! 😉
The post includes my favorite rock voices of all times: that means that I couldn’t only take into consideration a certain period of music history, such as grunge or the 90s in general. Lane Staley would definitely be part of my Top 10 Rock Voices of the 90s, though!;-)
Gordon, I know you’re missing Police frontman Sting, but just like David Bowie, I feel his voice is much more pop, than what I intend as a rock voice… but they’d probably both be part of it if we’d extend it to a Top20 😉

Surely, there’s tons of great artists who are not on that list, such as Robert Plant, Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, Bono, Thom Yorke and so on… yet it’s just a Top 10 list, skylyro’s Top 10 Rock Voices, but feel free to suggest your top tens, I can’t wait to read them?!!

Cheers and a happy Easter to all of you!
